Finally  the  wait  is  over  and  the  Uppi 2  mania  hits  Karnataka.The  movie  opened  to  a  huge  audience and  I  had  to  roam  about  for  hours  but  the  only  thing  I  could  see  is  sold-out  signs  everywhere  at  last  I  managed  to  get  a  ticket  and  watching  Uppi 2  was  worth  all  the  effort.
Uppi  2  has  been  directed  by  Upendra  himself  after  his  last  directorial  film  "SUPER".
The  film  is  also  produced  by  Upendra  himself.The  movie  stars  Upendra,Parul Yadav  and  Kristina  Akheeva  in the  lead.

STORY:

No  spoilers  ahead  the  story  is  something  that  someone  cannot  explain  its  something  completely  out  of  the  box.The  story  is  basically  a  message  to  various  perspectives  of   people  in  life.It  mainly  asks  people  to  live  in  the  present  instead  of  worrying  about  the  past  or  thinking  about  the  future.If  you  want  the  complete  story  just  go  watch  UPPI 2.When  I  left  the  theater  many  people  were  wondering  why  the  story  was  so  confusing  and  stuff  , many  people  went  "Yenu  Arthaagthilla  Macha".But  if  you  understand  it  then  Life Uppi2 Guru.

REVIEW:

The  movie  is  just  too  freaking  amazing.Upendra  is  the  only  actor  who  can  think something  out  of  the  box.He  makes  you  think  throughout  the  movie  and  the  way  he  makes  you  do  that  is  something  no  one else  can  do.His  concepts  ,those  one  liners  and  everything  just  lifts  up  the  film  all together.The  way  the  film  makes  you  think about  the  concept  that  you  should  not  think  is  amazing.(I'm  sure  after  reading  that  you  might  get  and  idea  about  how  the  movie  is  going  to  be).Upendra  is  the  star  of  the  film  and  he  shines  brighter  throughout.Parul  Yadav  does  an  amazing  job  though  its  only  a  guest  appearance.Kristina  does  justice  to  her  role  and  so  do  all  the  others.Overall  everyone has done an  amazing  job.The  songs  are  too  good  and  the  lyrics  are  very  catchy  too. Gurukiran  has  composed  the  music  very  well.Coming  to  the  direction  I  have  no  words  to  express  Upendra's brilliance,I  heard  people  telling  that  the  screenplay  was  not  good  and  stuff  but  damn  are  they  wrong  its  just  too amazing, you  just  need  to  understand  and  sum  up  the  bits  and  pieces.Some  of  you  may  get  a bit  bored   but  the  climax  just  sums  it  up.I  could  go  about  praising  this  film  all  day  but  I  shall  stop  at  this  "Uppi  2  is  a  masterpiece  created  by  the  master  himself,watch  it  ,understand  it  because  the  moment  you  understand  the  essence  of  the  film  you  will  fall  in  love  with  it. that's  exactly  what  I  felt".

Outside  the  theater  a  stranger  told  a  Uppi  Fan:Ticket  thogobeda  picture  arthaneagalla (Don't  buy  the  tickets  you  wont  understand  the  film) .The  fan  replied  - Maga  Upendra  helilva  idhu  Buddhivantarige  mathra  nam  real  star  kotidde  life.(The  movie  is  only  for  smart  people,the  path  the  real  star  shows  is  life).

"ABCD 2"-Movie Review

"ABCD 2"  is  the sequel  to  the  2013  3D dance movie "ABCD" (Any Body Can Dance).The  movie  has  been  directed  by  Remo D'Souza  and  produced  by  Siddharth  Roy  Kapur  and  Walt  Disney  Pictures.The  movie  stars  Varun  Dhawan,Shraddha Kapoor,Prabhu Deva,Raghav Juyal,Dharmesh Yelande  and  Lauren Gottlieb  in  the  lead.

STORY:

The  story  is  all  about  dance,that  is  exactly  what  the  title of  the  film  shouts  out  loud.

The  movie  is  inspired  by  the  real  life  story  of  Suresh  Mukund  and  Vernon  Monteiro  who  with  their  hardwork  and  love  towards  dance  went  to  Vegas  and  took  part  in  the  World  HipHop  championship  in  2012.

Suresh(Played  by  Varun  Dhawan)  and  Vinnie(Shraddha Kapoor)  are  child-hood  friends  who  love  dance.They  form  a  team  called  the  "Mumbai  Stunners"  and  take  part  in  a  reality  show  where  they  are  disqualified  for  copying  the  dance  routine  of  a  very  well  known  dance  group  and  now  the  "Mumbai  Stunners"  are  tagged  cheaters.The  team  members  split  and  go  back  to  their  normal  lives  but  face  humiliation  wherever  they  go.They  decide  to  earn  their  respect  back  by  taking  part  in  the  "World  HipHop  championship".They  seek  the  guidance  of  Vishnu  Sir(Prabhu  Deva) who  choreographs  their  acts  and  helps  them  throughout.The  team  now  known  as  the  "Indian  Stunners"  qualify  for  taking  part  in  the  championship  and  go  all  the  way  to  Vegas.Their  journey  from  being  underdogs  in  the  event  till  the  finals  with  a  few  twists forms  the  remaining  story  of  the  film.

REVIEW:

"ABCD 2"  is  all about  dancing  and  the  emotions  the  dancers  share  with  the  art.The  movie  has  great  visuals  and  its  a  treat  for  the  eyes.The  3D  part  of  the  film  is  good  to  an  extent  but  its  importance  is  lost  in  the  second half.The  direction  of  the  film  is  pretty  good,keeping  in  mind  that  it  is  a  movie  based  on  dance  Remo D'Souza  has  done  an  amazing  job.A  few  songs  in  the  film  are  too  good."Sun  Sathiya","If  you  hold  my  hand"  and  Bezubaan  are  my  favourites,but  the  selection  of  songs  for  the  dance  performances  could  have  been  better.The  first  half  of  the  film  has  elements  of  humor  but  the  second  half  is  a  bit  stretchy  the  duration of  the  film could  have  been  shortened.You  may  feel  that  the  second  half  is  a  bit  boring  at  times.

Varun  Dhawan  has  done  an  exceptional  job  and  impresses  the  audience  with  his  dance  moves  but  sometimes  it  seems  as  though  he  is  overshadowed  by  the  other  professional  dancers.Shraddha  Kapoor  merges  very  well  among  the  other  characters  and  is  very  convincing  as  a  dancer.The  other  actors  Raghav,Dharmesh  have  done  justice  to  their  roles.Lauren  looks  beautiful  and  she  gets  a  whole  song  for  herself  too.Wow!!!

"Overall  the  film  is  very  good  and  is  a  complete  entertainer.If  you  love  dance  then  you  are  gonna  love  this  even  more."

"Fast and Furious 7" Movie Review

One  of  the  most  awaited  movies  of  the  year  is  finally  here.Furious 7 is  the  first  film  of  the  series  to  take  place  after  "Tokyo  Drift".The  movie  has  been  directed  by  James  Wan.It  stars  Vin Diesel, Paul  Walker,Michelle  Rodriguez,Jordana  Brewster, Tyrese Gibson,Ludacris,Dwayne Johnson  and  Jason  Statham  in  the  lead.The  movie  also  marks  the  final  appearance  of  Paul Walker :'( and  this  maybe  the  last  addition  to  the  franchise.

STORY:

The  story  takes  place  after  Tokyo  Drift.After  defeating  Owen  Shaw  and  his  men.Dominic (Vin  Diesel)  and  Brian (Paul Walker)  with  the  rest  of  their  crew  head  back  home  to  lead  their  normal  lives.However  on  the  other hand Owen's elder  brother  Deckard (Jason Statham) is  after  them,seeking  revenge for  his  brothers  death.After  learning  about  Han's  death  the  crew  sets  out  in  search  of  the  guy  who  killed  one  of  their  own. Vengeance  hits  home  and  the  crew  promise  to  ride  for  one  last  time  for  each  other  and  for  the  ones  they  love.

REVIEW:

Furious  seven  is  not  just  about  amazing  cars,wonderful  chase  sequences  and  action.It's  the  best  addition  to  the  Fast  and  Furious  franchise.It  has  all  the  elements  that  you  would  wish  to  see.The  story  may  seem  simple.Yep  its  someone  seeking  vengeance  again  but  the  way  it  has  been  depicted  is  going  to  blow  your  mind  away.The  visuals  are  just  that  amazing  and  it  is  a  treat  to  watch.The film  has  wonderful  action  sequences,these  might  be  one  of  the  finest  action  sequences  you  could  have  ever  seen.You  get  to  see  people  getting  thrashed,Dwayne  Jhonson  getting  bashed,Jason  Statham  in  his  intense  character,street  fights,hot  cars  and  what  not!! The  screenplay  is  amazing  and  very  well  accompanied  by  a  wonderful  background  score.

The  film  has  been  directed  exceptionally  well  and  you  stick  to  the  story  and  the  film  through-out.Close  your  eyes  for  a  moment  and  you  will  miss  something  wonderful.The  climax  is  wonderful.The  film  has  the  right  amount  of  action,comic  sequences,car chases,emotions  and  everything  fits into  place  perfectly.I  could  go  about  praising  this  film  all  day,its  just  that  good.It  hardly  has  any  drawbacks  and  it  is  a  great  tribute  to  Paul  Walker.

The  climax  is  something  very  special  about  the  franchise  and  Paul  Walker  :')

"Fast  and  Furious  7"  is  the  best  film  in  the  series  and  its  one  of  the  finest  films  I  have  seen.No  more  words.Just  stop  reading  this  review  and  go  watch  the  film.

"Temper" Movie Review

"Temper"  is  a  telugu  action-thriller  film  starring  Jr.N.T.R , Kajal  Aggarwal  and  Prakash  Raj  in  the  lead.The  movie  has  been  directed  by  Puri  Jagannadh  It  is  produced  by  Bandla  Ganesh.

STORY:

"Temper"  narrates  the  story  of  a  corrupt  cop  Daya  and  how  his  life  changes  when  he  encouters  the  death  of  a  young  girl.The  film  starts  off  with  a  kid  who  learns  that  if  you  are  a  corrupt  cop  then  life  is  going  to  be  a  smooth  ride.The  kid  later  works  hard  and  becomes  a  cop - Daya (Jr.N.T.R).Daya  is  a  corrupt  and  criminal  minded  cop  who  only  cares  about  the  money  he  makes.He  is  transferred  to  Vizag  which  is  under  the  control  of  a  don-Valter  Vasu(Prakash  Raj).Daya  though  a  cop  works  for  Valter  Vasu.Meanwhile  he  falls  in  love  with  Sanvi (Kajal  Aggarwal).Life  indeed  goes  smooth  until  he  saves  Lakshmi(Madhuurima)  as  Sanvi  asks  him  to  do  so  and  life  takes  a  different  turn.In  a  series  of  situations  Daya  understands  his  mistakes  and  goes  against  Valter  Vasu.
So  what  is  the  incident  that  makes  Daya  look  at  life  differently? Why  does  he  choose  to  help  a  stranger (Laksmi)? How  does  Daya  help  her  get  justice?  forms  the  rest  of  the  story  and  it  would  be  a  spoiler  if  I  let  that  out.

REVIEW:

"Temper"  has  a  decent  story.The  story  is  not  much  complicated.The  story  seems  to  be  interesting  but  it  has  a  few  drawbacks  too. Jr.N.T.R  is  exceptional  as  a  cop.He  does  justice  as  a  corrupt  cop  and  as  well  as  his  other  shades.He  is  the  biggest  plus  point  of  the  film."Temper"  completely  runs  on  one  mans  shoulder  and  that  is  Jr.N.T.R. Kajal  does  a  great  job  too  and  Prakash  Raj  is  good  as  ususal.Madhuurima   makes  her  presence  felt.
The  direction  by  Puri  Jagannadh  is  good.The  screenplay  could  have  been  slightly  better.The  first  half  is  boring  and  there  is  nothing  much  that  happens  until  the  interval.The  second  half  is  slightly  boring  but  is  way  productive.The  second  half  is  filled  with  action  and  a  classic  performance  from  Jr.N.T.R.The  twist  in  the  climax  and  a  few  strong  touching  scenes  keeps  the  film  on  track.The  songs  are  good  and  N.T.R  impresses  everyone  with  his  moves  but  I  feel  the  songs  pop  up  unnecessarily  at  times.The  story  keeps  you  involved  and  has  a  good  message  too.

DRAWBACKS:
The  first  half  is  disappointing.The  usual  comic  elements  which  are  added  are  not  that   great.The  first  half  is  a  bit  boring.Ali's  role  is  wasted.If  you  want  to  watch  a  film  for  the  fun  and  comedy  in  it  then   "Temper"  isn't  your  thing.

"Overall  the  film  is  good.Watch  it  for  the  wonderful  performance  by  Jr.N.T.R.The  atrocities  on  women  are  dealt  with  in  a  new  angle  and  the  film  has  a  good  ending  with  a  message"

"Roy" Movie Review

"Roy"  is  an  romantic thriller film, directed  by  debutant  Vikramjit  Singh  and  produced  by  Bhushan  Kumar.The  movie  stars  Ranbir  Kapoor,Arjun  Rampal  and  Jacqueline  Fernandez  in  the  lead.

STORY:

The  story  is  a  thriller (Yep  you  would  be  thrilled  if  you  understood  the  story).The  story  really  does  not  make  much  sense.The  movie  is  about  a  film  maker  Kabir  Grewal(Arjun  Rampal)  who  makes  multiple  films  (named  GUNS)  based  on  a  thief's (ROY) life.Kabir  meets  a  London  based  film  maker  Ayesha ( Jacqueline) during  his  shoot(Of  the  film  Guns-3) and  both  of  them  fall  in  love.When  Ayesha  gets  to  know  about  Kabir's  casanova  attitude  she  breaks  up  with  him.Dejected  Kabir  goes  into  depression  and  leaves  his  film  incomplete.Kabir  looses  his  father  and  also  gets  sued  by  financiers  for  not  completing  the  film  due  to  which  he  decides  to  move  on  and  complete it.

In  a  parallel  story ,Roy (Ranbir  Kapoor)  - is a  mysterious  international  art  thief  whom  no  country  seems  to  be  able  to  get  hold  of .Roy  is  on  a  new  assignment  to  steal  a  very  valuable  painting  only  to  find  that  its  owner  is  Tia (Jacqueline).Roy  impresses  Tia  with  his  charm  and  later  steals  the  painting,leaving  Tia  heart  broken.He  later  regrets  it ,as  he  falls  in  love  with  her.He  returns  the  painting  after  a  clash  with  its  new  owner  and  Tia  realizes  that  Roy  is  a  changed  man  and  they  get  back  together.

Meanwhile,  Kabir's  film (GUNS-3) releases  and  becomes  a  huge  success  and  he  reveals  that  Roy  is  just  an  imaginary  character.In  the  end  Kabir  proposes  Ayesha  and  they  get  back  together  just  like  Roy  and  Tia  did.

REVIEW:

The  movie  has  a  weak  script  which  is  really  not  interesting.The  screenplay  is  bad   and  the  movie  is  boring.The  movie  is  certainly  not  a  heist  film.Not  a  single  robbery  is  properly  shown.Anything  on  earth  could  be  faster  than  the  pace  at  which  the  story  moves.

The  performances  on  the  other  hand  are  not  spectacular.All  of  them  do  a  decent  job. Arjun  Rampal  is  convincing  as  a  film  maker  and  Jacqueline  does  a  fine  job  too.Ranbir  kapoor  is  good.The  direction  is  not  good.The  movie  does  not  make  sense  at  times.It  appears  difficult  to  understand  the  story  with  two  parallel  stories  popping  up  one  after  the  other.The  screenplay  is  bad.The  film  is  too  boring(Set  an  alarm-  because  you  may  fall  asleep).The  only  good  thing  in  the  film  are  the  songs.The  songs  are  great  Matlabi,Tu  hai  ki  nahi  are  a  few  good  ones.

DRAWBACKS:

The  story  which  could  have  been  way  better.

The  screenplay  with  which  the  story  moves  at  snails  pace.

"Roy"  is  nothing  spectacular.You  can  surely  skip  this  one.Watch  it  if  you  have  nothing  else  to  do  this  week.

"NH 10" Trailer and Impressions

It  is  an  upcoming  thriller  film  directed  by  Navdeep  Singh.The  movie  stars  Anushka  Sharma, Neil  Bhoopalam   and  Darshan  Kumar  in  the  lead. Anushka  Sharma  is  also  one  of  the  producer  for  NH  10.The  title  of  the  film  refers  to  the  403km  long  National  Highway  10  that  starts  from  Delhi  and  ends  at  the  Pakistan  border  in  Punjab.The  movie  is  the  story  of  a  young  couple  Meera (Anushka)  and  Arjun(Neil  Bhoopalam)  whose  road  trip  takes  a  different turn  after  an  encounter  with  a  group  of  violent  criminals.
The  trailer  is  impressive. Anushka  Sharma  does  something  different  in  this  film  which  many  of  us  would  want  to  watch.The  story  is  something  quite  different.The  movie  is  scheduled  to  release  on  6th  March  2015.
