Lingaa understands the importance of the dam and realizes that his grandfather was a great being and is set to save the dam and the people who are depending on him.
REVIEW:
Rajnikanth is back - you will love every moment when he appears on the screen, the attitude with which he portrays both the roles -one in which he plays Raja Lingeswaran whose story dates back to the pre-independence era and another as Lingaa a thief in the present period is just great. Lingaa is mainly three hours of what Rajnikanth does best and his dialogues and appearance is sure to make the cinema hall filled with whistles and applause. Anushka Shetty does a good job too, However the role of Sonakshi and Jagapathi Babu is limited but they sure make their presence worth watching.
The story is well written and you do not feel anything illogical happening on screen the Direction is great and the director achieves in portraying two different periods. The scenarios in the movie are rich and colourful.
The music is given by A.R.Rehman and is really catchy.
Drawbacks:
The movie is too lengthy could have done with a better edit. The flash back takes up most of the time and there is nothing much happening in the present.Though the film ends with Rajnikanth's fabulous scene it could have ended with a different and a better climax.
"Overall Lingaa is a very good movie and it would be three worthy hours of spending your time in the theater (Even though you are not a pro in Tamil)"
RATING : 3.5 / 5
