"Ungli"- Movie Review

Synopsis:

"Ungli"  ia  about  a  bunch  of  people  who  form  a  gang  in  order  to  fight   against  corruption.The  gang  has  Nikhil (Emraan  Hashmi) a  cop, Maya (Kangana  Ranaut), Abhay (Randeep  Hooda), Kalim (Angad  Bedi)  and  Goti (Neil  Bhoopalam). Nikhil  whose  initial  plan  is  to  catch  them  ends  up  joining  them.The  issues  picked  up  by  the  gang  are  those  affecting  the  common  man.Their  main  aim  is  to  stand  against   corruption  and  do  justice.

Cast:

The  cast  is  good  but  you  cannot  witness  anything  special. No  one  stands  out   individually  except  Emraan  Hashmi  and  Randeep  Hooda  who  are  good  as  usual  but  the  girls  Kangana  and  Neha  Dhupia  do  not  have  much  to  do. Sanjay  Dutt  plays  a  cop  and  does  a  decent  job.

Direction:

The  movie  has  been  directed  by  Rensil  D'Silva.The  direction  is  fine  the  story  is  simple  but  it  is  unrealistic  at  times  and  you  may  get  bored  a  bit.There  is  nothing  much  happening  except  that  the  gang  just  goes  after  issues  one  after  the  other  most  of  the  time.The  direction  could  have  been  better  with  a  even  better  screenplay  and  storyline.

Music:

The  music  is  good  but  I  think  that  songs  appear  unnecessarily  at  times. Basanti  is  one  of  the  good  songs  in  which  Shraddha  Kapoor  makes  a  special  appearance.

Bits  and  Pieces:

The  movie  even  with  its  flaws  and  unrealistic  story  line  may  not  bore  you  too  much.


Overall  "Ungli"  is  a good  film  but  could  have  been  way  better   and  could  have  had  more  realistic  things  happening.
